2023 CSRG Race Dates
DAVID LOVE VINTAGE CAR RACES AT SONOMA RACEWAY, March 24-26. (Open sound event)
A super way to kickoff a season of, as the British call it, “tin top” racing. The Morton Cup has been a fantastic new addition to CSRG events & we want 2021 to be the best ever. Do you have a Datsun, an Alfa, BMW, Cortina, Mini, or ???? Then come join us! Note: starting in 2022 the optional Friday session will be a full, not half, day.
CSRG SPRING RACES at THUNDERHILL—-Cancelled
This event is a great, laid back event with some good racing. This year we will have the West Coast Trans-Am joining us, so you will get to see the evolution of the Trans-Am for yourself. 103dB limit
CSRG’s Laps for Laguna, a Benefit for the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation & Now a Three Day Event June 23-25
This is a new event that is a collaboration between CSRG & the charity arm of Laguna Seca—the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation. We expect this event to be very popular & entries will be limited. Sign up early & be sure to bring your pocketbook to help the charity. You will be walking on some hallowed ground. Names like Moss, Clark, Surtees, Gurney, McLaren, Hulme have graced the track & now you will get a chance to race where the greats have run & feel good about helping the charity. Anybody feel some goosebumps coming on? Open sound event, though Friday may have limited sound—TBD.
19TH ANNUAL CSRG CHARITY CHALLENGE AT SONOMA RACEWAY, Sept. 8-10 (Open sound event)
Our showcase event with midday charity rides (assuming the COVID 19 threat has passed), a raffle, a Saturday dinner & enough excitement to make a speed bump get a pulse. Note: starting in 2022 the optional Friday session will be a full, not half, day.
CSRG’s 55th Season Finale at Thunderhill, Nov. 3-5 (103dB event)
This is a wonderful, late summer event that includes a phenomenal dinner (CSRG is the host, so food & drink will flow!) at the Veterans Hall in Willows. Ask anybody about the event & they will tell you it’s well worth the trip. 103dB limit
Raceday Format
The following depends upon the status of COVID-19. So consider it a TBD issue until we have a clearer picture of where we stand with the pandemic: Saturday morning is qualifying and the points and awards race is Saturday afternoon. The podium and awards party will be held immediately following the Saturday afternoon race. Competitors are urged to pit together, and bring all their friends and family to the awards party in the paddock. Sunday is a regular club race, where group photos, inverted grids or other shenanigans may feature.
